The Struggle of Baking A Happy Face Super Chocolate Cake
To begin with, baking could be an easy or difficult task according to your baking skills or talent. Trying to bake without enough ingredients can make the challenging task a lot more difficult.
That’s the endeavor I faced today. I almost broke my jaw when I saw this delicious amazing chocolate cake video on Facebook. You could find the original video on my page!
I saw this cake and was captivated by it! Seeing all the soft, gooey, smooth chocolate swirling around, smother with the chocolate cake I literally almost lost control of myself. I got so excited and motivated I took it upon myself to bake the cake for my family.
Caught up in the excitement I immediately rushed into the kitchen and started gathering all the required ingredients to be able to bake this delicious cake. As I was gathering all the ingredients my excitement started skyrocketing higher and higher.
Thrilled with excitement I finally finished gathering all the required ingredients to begin the preparations to bake this delicious cake.
As I was portioning all the required measurements needed I started to have some discomfort and doubt… I started to realize that I didn’t have the exact amount of ingredients as the recipe was requesting.
Feeling discouraged I came across two options:
- Either stop the process and started another day after I went to the store and obtained the required amount of ingredients.
- Or just make the best out of the current ingredients that I already have.
With my patience being close to zero and my excitement being sky high I chose what I usually think.
MAKE THE BEST OF IT AND GO FOR IT!!!
So that’s exactly what I did!
I used the ingredients that I had to the extreme. I literally used every milligram I had and wished for the best.
I followed the recipe and started combining the ingredients how it was saying I should. Seeing that it wasn’t looking exactly how it looked on the video, I paid no attention to it and continue preparing the batter.
Seeing that the batter was a lot gooier than it should have been I decided to put it as it was in the oven. Letting it bake for the required 30-35 minutes. I took it out when it was ready and it looked like this.
Knowing it wasn’t “correctly” done I decided to keep it. Besides I had 3 of the cakes I wasn’t just going to throw them away that would be a sin :P.
P.S. I know it’s not a chocolate cake. Reason being is because I didn’t have enough cocoa to make the chocolate cake and the rich creamy chocolate gooey. So I just decided to save the cocoa I had to make the gooey chocolate goodness.
Anyways as it cooled down I started working on making the creamy chocolate goodness. As I was mixing all the ingredients I was loving it more and more how it was coming out.
It looked soft, gooey, creamy, luxurious. It was so enticing that I felt like I should have been bathing with it! LITERALLY!
But whatever we are not going to talk about my crazy fantasy dreams.
After finishing preparing the gooey chocolate goodness. It was only a few minutes before the cake was done baking.
Anxiously waiting for the last few moments to pass by so I could be able to take out the cake from the oven. I decided to do some cleaning so when I was done with everything I wouldn’t have that big pile of sadness waiting for me. (kind of a smart tactic if you think about it)
So finally after everything was all set and done and had finally cooled down I started building the cake. Layering the pieces together and covering them I was excited with the looks of my precious cake. It came out a lot better than what I had planned.
It was so mouthwatering that I drooled on myself a little bit. (let’s keep that a secret)
After everything being assembled it looked great. It was finally accomplished, but with my love of always doing everything extra and going over the top, I decided to add a few extra features.
So I wondered what goes great with chocolate? And I thought of STRAWBERRIES! What else makes chocolate more beautiful and luxurious.
So I decided to add some strawberries to my beautiful cooked cake. And with a few of my creative neurons, I decided to design a happy face with the strawberries.
Falling in love with how my cake came out I admired it for a few moments and then all that ended quickly because I couldn’t control myself and I dove in head first and cut out a BIG piece and started DEVOURING it IMMEDIATELY!
Let me be the one to tell you it literally melted in my mouth. It was soft and creamy and enriched in flavor!
For the shortage, I faced with the ingredients I had it came out EXCELLENT!!
I loved it so I just want to share with you if you ever get inspired or motivated to create something and you realize that you don’t have all the required ingredients to create that creation.
Never Give Up
GO FOR IT!!
Even if it doesn’t come out exactly as it’s supposed too it will most likely still come out delicious and amazing. So don’t prevent yourself from experiencing an awesome moment because you’re scared it won’t be the same.
I’m telling you right now if you don’t have the exact required ingredients it’s not going to be the same. But that doesn’t prevent it from creating something extraordinary.
So go with your guts and motivation and create something delicious before you doubt yourself and lose out an amazing opportunity.
